Italy’s national airline Alitalia offer flights from a number of British airports to destinations in Italy. Flights start at around £80 economy class one way. There are dozens of other operators offering services to the country, including: Lufthansa and British Airways, as well as an increasing number of budget flight operators such as Bmibaby, Ryanair and Easyjet. Flights from London to Rome take approximately two hours and thirty minutes, and Rome’s international airport offers everything that would be expected including bus, train coach and taxi services into the city. Also offered is car hire, restaurants, bars, shops, medical facilities and a bureau de change, amongst other things. The same kind of facilities are to be expected of Italy’s numerous other international airports, which are located all around the country.
